I attended Virginia Tech (Bobby Rook and I were roommates for 2 years) and graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
My wife, Michele, and I have been married for 20 years. I lived and worked in St. Louis for 5 years; Michele and I earned our Masters degrees at Washington University in St. Louis.
We've been living in Portland, Oregon for 15 years. We have 5-year-old twins, Natalie & Tyler. I'm a Product Engineering Manager for TriQuint Semiconductor; we manufacture transmitter chips for cellular handsets and wireless devices.
I've raced for more than two years as a member of Team Oregon (amateur cycling team). I also run but I don't enjoy it as much as I do cycling! Michele and I raced our first team duathlon last year (5k run / 30k bike / 5k run) while she was training for the Portland Marathon. We've bicycle-toured through the San Juan islands (Washington's Puget Sound); Tuscany, Italy; Provence, France; Utah; and New Zealand's south island.
